Look around you, the future has arrived. And when we talk about the future of commerce, e-commerce is the main disruptive factor, with Amazon as its main catalyst. The e-commerce giant not only innovates through business models, technology, and aggregated services, but also through partnerships with other services such as Snapchat.
Snapchat and Amazon are joining forces to develop visual product search through the social network app. As voice search (Alexa, Shazam, etc.) and visual search (Snapchat, AliExpress, etc.) gain momentum, new services can be integrated, creating new sales channels and monetization alternatives. Initially, Snap integrated Shazam's search into its system, but now it is preparing for a more advanced integration with Amazon's catalog.
But what about Brazil?
Well, in Brazil, Snapchat does not have much penetration, and Amazon is taking its first steps compared to the sales volume in the United States. Its main competitor, Pinterest's Lens, brings similar images/products, but it does not connect with an e-commerce catalog; however, its products can be shared on the network through posts, making them discoverable and purchasable.
Share your products on your brand's Pinterest account and drive traffic from the social network to your e-commerce store.
